About This Service
Design & Document Review is a focused expert audit of your architectural and interior design drawing package. Before you approve drawings or allow a contractor to build from them, we examine the full set for coordination errors, specification gaps, buildability issues, and budget risks — and deliver a written report with clear recommendations.
This is not a construction monitoring or advisory service. It is a one-time review of the documents in front of you — the fastest way to know what you're approving before you sign off or break ground.
Review Summary
We reviewed the complete architectural and interior design drawing package (14 sheets, Revision 3, dated March 2025) for the above-referenced project. Our review examined design coordination across disciplines, specification completeness, buildability, and potential budget exposure.

Identified Issues & Recommendations
Bathroom door conflicts with vanity drawer swing
Recommendation: Relocate door 6" to the right or specify a pocket door. Resolve before permit submission — field correction is significantly more expensive.
Upper cabinet height inconsistent with range hood specification
Recommendation: Confirm hood model and revise upper cabinet height on all elevations to match manufacturer rough-in. Misalignment will require cabinet rebuild if caught during install.
Primary tile spec references discontinued product (Porcelanosa Mosaico Deco — discontinued 2023)
Recommendation: Coordinate with interior designer to confirm a current equivalent, update finish schedule, and verify lead time before ordering.
Recessed lighting row conflicts with structural joist direction per S-201
Recommendation: Cross-reference with structural framing drawings. Rotate can light layout 90° or confirm with structural engineer that blocking is acceptable.
Faucet rough-in depth not specified for 4 of 7 fixtures
Recommendation: Add rough-in dimensions for all fixtures. Omissions result in field guesswork and potential rework when fixtures arrive on site.
Window header heights not coordinated across sheets
Recommendation: Align window head heights across all interior and exterior elevation sheets to ensure consistent interior appearance and framing.
